Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isaiah 1:18

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.

I Peter 3:15

Our Motivation

We believe that many Christians can tell you a few things about WHAT they believe, but they are not able to tell you WHY they believe it.

In this culture of "everything is subjective and relative", we as Christians need to STAND OUT as salt and light by warning and helping the people around us with the absolute truth of the Bible.

We believe that many Christians feel ill-equipped to talk much about their faith with fellow Christians let alone non-christians.

It's as if they've been asked to fight without having a trust in their weapons.  How much could we expect from people in this situation?

We believe that as Christians become equipped with the only weapon that will work in this fight (the Bible), they will then naturally become CONFIDENT and WANT to share their faith!!!

Evidently It's True will give you every reason to believe that the Bible and its central teachings are reliable!!

12/5/11 - Does the Bible and/or the Koran promote violence?

It has rightly been said that, on the issue of violence, the difference between Islam and Christianity is that those who commit violent acts in the name of Islam do it in accordance with Islam and thise who commit violence in the name of Christianity do it against Christianity.

This FoxNews video is stirring debate about whether Jesus actually promoted violence or not. The video suggests Jesus in Matthew chapter 10:34 is promoting violence! What! One of the main things that's being missed in this discussion is that the division (caused by the sword) is based on who Jesus is! The sword is the Word of God!

"For the Word of God is alive and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Heb 4:12

The division being caused in Matthew 10 isn't the Christians violently opposing non-believers but quite the opposite. Read verse 23 for some content:

"...But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come." - Matt 10:23

As for the references in the video to Joshua in the Old testament; if I would go on a killing spree, I'd be wrong. However, if God directly tells someone to go to battle with a nation, as he did for Joshua, you can believe it is just and right!

Does God Support The American Right Of Freedom Of Religion? (13 min 48 sec)

"Question for you. Based on the character and nature of God, do you think God supports the American 'right' of freedom of religion? Consider: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." Doesn't God COMMAND all men to repent and believe the Gospel?
