Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Isaiah 1:18

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.

12/5/11 - Does the Bible and/or the Koran promote violence?

It has rightly been said that, on the issue of violence, the difference between Islam and Christianity is that those who commit violent acts in the name of Islam do it in accordance with Islam and thise who commit violence in the name of Christianity do it against Christianity.  This FoxNews video is stirring debate about whether Jesus actually promoted violence or not.  The video suggests Jesus in Matthew chapter 10:34 is promoting violence!  What!  One of the main things that's being missed in this discussion is that the division (caused by the sword) is based on who Jesus is!  The sword is the Word of God!

"For the Word of God is alive and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." - Heb 4:12

The division being caused in Matthew 10 isn't the Christians violently opposing non-believers but quite the opposite.  Read verse 23 for some content:

"...But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come." - Matt 10:23

As for the references in the video to Joshua in the Old testament; if I would go on a killing spree, I'd be wrong.  However, if God directly tells someone to go to battle with a nation, as he did for Joshua, you can believe it is just and right!

12/1/10  - Kentucky Gov. Beshear Announces 'Ark Encounter' Theme Park

Major annoucement today from Answers In Genesis sent shockwaves thru much of secular America!  Praise God for the many conversations, that are already beginning, that will lead people to a saving knowledge of Jesus thru this project!  Skeptics  are already perplexed as to why and how something like this could happen that, to them, is against all reason and science.  In the questions and answers at the end of this press conferene, one reporter even asked if there would be dinosaurs on the Ark!  Do you know how dinosaurs fit into the Christian 6 day Creation account as recorded in Genesis?  Watch our "Evidently You Have Questions" answer called "How Do Dinosaurs Fit Into The Bible's Account Of Creation".

6/22/10  - Allahu Akbar! shouted while Christians cuffed...in America - Momma always said, "If you do it now it'll be easier, but if you wait it gets much harder!"  Well she was right!  Even with the mudane things of life like weeding flower beds or mowing the grass, time wasted always makes things harder in the end.

So many times we hold back from sharing Jesus with others for X, Y, and Z reasons, but the truth is if we don't start now, what makes us think that we will ever obey the Lord in sharing Him?  We encourage you to 'get busy for the Lord'!  Christian, you have abilities given to you by Christ.  He gave them to you so that we can have the joy of serving Him.

Watch this news video and consider two things:  these are just average Christians like YOU & that it is only getting harder and harder to stand up for Jesus and see souls saved.  We praise God for all the Christian Americans we've heard from, who are busy spreading God's love and salvation thru Jesus!

5/13/10  - Chris Mathews shows his amazing ignorance of the subject of evolution in this video!  His argument is that those making this ad against Bradley Bryne are "trying to make him pass a religious test for office".  What?  The ad makers quote Bryne as saying that "evolution...best explains the origins of life".  This is a scientifically testable statement.  What does the evidence (Grand Canyon, design of the cell, genetics, homologous structures, etc) point towards; evolution or special creation?

The evidence clearly supports special creation.  I think it's refreshing that citizens are holding our politicians accountable to believe in truth (Creation) and not lies (Evolution).  Make God a promise this election year, that you will vote for WHATEVER candidate lines up the most with His Word the Bible!

4/12/10 - It's not enough that secular humanistic evolutionists want the lie of evolution to be taught to our kids in the name of 'science', now they have the audacity to speak of Biblical Creationism as a 'myth'!  An important distinction to be made here is that science can not give us conclusions about the origin of the universe.  Science deals with testable, repeatable, observable things.  This doesn't include origins. On the other hand, religion can deal with the origin of the universe.

Why would a 'science' textbook feel the need to address things outside of it's logical domain like religious origins?  That would be like a foot-doctor telling a patient how much soccer ability his feet have!  He has no method to know that!  Could it be that humanists are just utilizing evolution thru 'science' to deceive people into abandoning their faith in Jesus Christ?  Could it be that evolutionists will do whatever it takes to be able to NOT be accountable to God?

3/14/10 - This ABC News article is very typical of the way that our secular culture trys to frame the debate between Bible-believing Christians and Secular Humanists.  They always try to frame the debate as 'science' verses 'religion'.  This set-up is an intentionally designed prejudice against Bible-believing Christians! (Notice in the 1st pararaph - "...will debate the tension between God and Science...")  Let's be clear, nothing in the Bible contradicts science and nothing in science contradicts the Bible.

The other provocative part of this article is in the last paragraph.  These Secular Humanists are going to attempt to tell us "that evolution can explain why our beliefs developed".  In our Seminar #2 'Evidently There Is A Creator' we spend lots of time explaining that the logical conclusion to evolution is a world without purpose, worth, value or any hope.  Evolutionists created a 'world' in which there is no authority (God) and now they seek to justify their ideas by explaining away these "strange Bible-believing Christians" as the ones who have 'invented' ideas.  What a strategy, to bad they're on the wrong side of the evidence! (Note: This ministry does NOT endorse any of the participates in this debate)

ABC NEWS’ DAN HARRIS TO MODERATE LIVE DEBATE AT THE CALIFORNIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY IN PASADENA, CA

ON SUNDAY, MARCH 14th AT 2:00PM PST

“FACE-OFF” TO AIR ON “NIGHTLINE”

TUESDAY, MARCH 23rd

Does God Have a Future? “Nightline” tackles this question and other delicate questions related to faith and spirituality in a “Face Off” to air Tuesday, March 23. Featuring Dr. Deepak Chopra, author of How to Know God and Dr. Jean Houston, a prominent scholar, philosopher and writer facing off against Dr. Michael Shermer, founding publisher of Skeptic Magazine and contributor to Scientific American and Dr. Sam Harris, author of The End of Faith, the panelists will debate the tension between God and Science.  Is there scientific proof that God exists or has science made it so that God is no longer relevant?

This “Face-off,” “Nightline’s” sixth since launching the series three years ago, will take place Sunday, March 14 at The California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California and will be moderated by ABC News anchor Dan Harris, who covers faith issues for the network.  The “Nightline” Face-Off is a debate style format where hot topics get discussed among prominent voices in their field.

Chopra and Houston contend the universe is proof that there is intelligence at the heart of creation and that a person needs to look beyond what can be seen and touched while Shermer and Harris advocate that science and biology can explain what is happening to people when they pray, meditate and believe in God and that evolution can explain why our beliefs developed.

The “Face Off” will be held at Cal Tech University’s Beckman Auditorium in Pasadena, CA on Sunday, March 14th at 2:00pmPST.  For more on the story visit: http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/FaceOff/god-future-question-debated-nightline-face-off/story?id=10064190

3/8/10 - Here is some great background info about the Texas Textbook fight.  (If you haven't been following, Texas has the power to set the school textbooks for the whole country. The Texas State Board of Education is planning to make some major changes in the science textbooks starting on 3/10/10)

In this video, consider how the strategy of the evolutionists (Kathy Miller-in this video) is to get rid of all creationists so it seems their view is the only one that makes sense.  Don McLeroy was slandered and then ousted a few months ago, to make this week's school board decision possible.

I'm amazed at how many people are fooled by these evolutionists because they sound 'educated'.  They are either grossly misinformed or lying - I prefer the later.  Here's one example from the video: Kathy Miller scoffs that Don McLeroy believes that Dinosaurs and Humans lived together.  Kathy I refer you to one example right their in your home state of Texas (Glen Rose).  Taylor's Trail is one example of footprints that are preserved.

2/26/10 - Archaeologists continue to reveal hidden treasures around the world and especially in Israel that give us the ability to have a confident trust in the Bible.  In this video you will see amazing evidence that Solomon's Temple was built right where the Bible said it was!

You know, all this digging is intentional.  Once Israel has enough evidence for all the boundaries of Solomon's Temple, it won't be long before they'll start building the new Temple that is prophesied to come.

2/25/10 - In our seminar #2 "Evidently There Is A Creator" we discuss the ramifications of the atheistic worldview.  If someone believes there is no God, it leads to a reality with no hope for the future, no purpose in the present and where nothing has value.

Scientists are beginning to show thru examinations the positive ramifications of belief in God.  In fact, this study goes to the heart of the atheistic person.  Without God an atheist has no reason to have any hope in the future!  Wow!  In this belief system, evil will not be judged and good will not be rewarded.  Would you turn your heart to Jesus today...right now?

Studies: Belief in God relieves depression

The "Big Man Upstairs" is getting accolades from mental health specialists who say they are finding that a belief in God plays a positive role in the treatment of anxiety and depression.

University of Toronto psychologists reported last year that "believing in God can help block anxiety and minimize stress," their research showcasing "distinct brain differences" between believers and nonbelievers.

A new study released Wednesday by Rush University Medical Center in Chicago took the idea a step further.

In patients diagnosed with clinical depression, "belief in a concerned God can improve response to medical treatment," said the new research, which has been published in the Journal of Clinical Psychology.

The operative term here is "caring," the researchers said. "The study found that those with strong beliefs in a personal and concerned God were more likely to experience an improvement."

The researchers compared the levels of melancholy or hopelessness in 136 adults diagnosed with major depression or bipolar depression with their sense of "religious well-being." They found participants who scored in the top third of a scale charting a sense of religious well-being were 75 percent more likely to get better with medical treatment for clinical depression.     CONTINUE READING AT THE WASHINGTON TIMES

1/31/10 - This soon coming decision about school textbooks in Texas, is a perfect example of the extreme importance for Christians to continue to stand against lies in books & textbooks.

If we Christians continue to get rid of the books in our communities & continue to get engaged with the school boards that use evolutionary textbooks, then we'll be ready in mass to stop this 'changing of history'.

1/18/10 - We were all astounded when the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls was announced which gave us the earliest copies of the Old Testament that we have today.  The Dead Sea Scrolls were made around 100 years before Christ, giving us scripture that is hundreds of years earlier than our previous 'oldest copy'.  NOW, this video shows us actually Hebrew writing being in use 900 years before the time of the writing of the Dead Sea Scrolls.  Archeology continues to verify the Bible is true every time  -Please forgive the 1st few and the last few seconds of this video....it was the only copy I could get-

1/04/10 - Brit Hume is Managing Editor of Fox News and has recently retired from running a full time show.  He chose one of the largest television oppurtunities to show his Christianity appearing here on The O'Reilly Factor.  This video is great because it shows how an individual's Christianity should penetrate through their WHOLE life and not just as 'a Sunday thing'.
